Welcome to Commodore Perry Elementary School, home of the panthers, where our focus is student success. Commodore Perry Elementary Schools serves about 250 students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I truly believe our school is a hidden gem and one of which we should be proud. We make every effort to provide a safe and positive place for our students to learn and grow both socially and academically.

The staff and students of our school take great pride in our programs, our community, and our success as a district. Our district has recently adopted a new vision and mission statement that encourages school-wide growth and development of both staff and students as we prepare students for the 21st century. In addition, we are making great strides to ensure the safety of our students at all times. This is a responsibility that we do not take lightly.

Commodore Perry Elementary School is blessed with an active Parent Teacher Organization. The PTO supports many of our endeavors throughout the school year, including field trips and school-wide assembles and initiatives. Your participation in the PTO fundraisers is essential to the continued success of this organization in our school. They are generous both financially and in the countless hours of hard work and volunteerism that they provide for our students and staff. Please consider getting involved with this fantastic organization.

As parents/guardians of our students, your role is vital to their success in school. We need your help in displaying a positive attitude that promotes education and strong work ethic. We all know that regular attendance is crucial to a student’s success in school, so please encourage your children to attend school regularly. Please check their backpacks in the evenings and read with your child. All of these things show your children that you believe in education and support what we are teaching while we have them here in school.

Finally, I encourage you to build a positive partnership with your child’s teacher as you¬†find him/her to be your best resource. I also look forward to teaming up with you to make your child’s experience a positive and successful one. I am honored to be in this role and enjoy working with you and your children. Please contact me with any concerns or ideas that you may have. It takes a village to raise a child, and when we work together, the results will be amazing!

Sincerely
