Snuggle Up and Read is a new program here, at Commodore Perry, that will provide all new babies born into the district with a hand-made blanket and a new book. In this package, there will also be information for the parents on the importance of reading at a young age.

 

How you can help:

Are you the crafty type?

  • We need NEW,  hand-made baby blankets. Blankets should be;
  • 30″ x 36″ minimum size
  • 36″ x 46″ maximum size
  • They can be quilted, tied, crochet, knitted or fleece.

 

Craft challenged?

You can still help!

We also need books. Books should be;

  • New
  • Hardcover (no board books please)
  • Appropriate for a toddler

Some other Information:

  • You can make a donation of a NEW book or handmade blanket in the Elementary Office anytime.
  • The start date for this program is January 1, 2011.
  • Spread the word! Please help us let new parents know about this program at Commodore Perry. New parents can contact the Elementary office for details.
